The Power Wheels Camper was imported from Mexico and sold exclusively by Walmart. The Campers could be purchased both in-store and online at Walmart.com. They retailed for about $400 and was sold from July 2018 to January 2019. Fisher-Price says that about 44,000 Barbie Campers are affected.

Important Details About the Recall

The reason for the recall on the Power Wheels Barbie Dream Campers is due to a malfunction that causes the toy to continue to run even after the pedal is released. This could potentially cause serious injury. If the Camper continued to move forward even after releasing the pedal it could potentially hit an object or wind up in a dangerous situation, such as in a roadway.

Fisher-Price was alerted to the issue with certain models after 17 complaints were made about the malfunctioning toys. No injuries have been reported. After receiving the complaints, Fisher-Price released a voluntary recall to avoid potential injuries. The recall was made on February 5, 2019.
